Electroacupuncure (EA)

Electroacupuncure is a form of acupuncture in which a weak electric current is passed through the acupuncture needles into acupoints in the skin.

The needles are inserted by hand but then attached to a device that generates electrical current that causes stimulation of the needles.The frequency & intensity of the current can be altered to suit each individual. 

 

EA is intended to help increase the potential healing effects of standard acupuncture.

EA can cover larger areas of the body. it activates your sympathetic nerve fibres which in turn releases endorphins which help reduc e inflammation. The activated nerve fibres may aso help to reduce feelings of persistent pain, thus making it a good treatment for chronic pain and stress.
